PRINNIE Stevens and Mahalia Barnes will “come together” in a soul-sisters revue, to be seen at the Abbey in Gold Creek this Sunday.
Organisers are point gout that both of “the girls” have a wide circle of musical friends and family, so we can expect to see the odd surprise guest joining them on stage for some impromptu appearances.
The pair has acquired a whole new generation of fans after competing on “The Voice,” so this concert is bill as suitable for all ages.
Joining the girls on stage will be Barnes’s group, The Soul Mates, now including a three piece horn section and backing vocalists – taking in eleven people on stage. They’ve performed hundreds of gigs together and individual members have performed with of Cold Chisel, Diesel, Renee Geyer, The Whitlams, Phrase and Silverchair.
As well as performing songs from “Come Together” Stevens and Barnes, will be performing original songs and some favourite soul and dance tracks that didn’t make the album.
