Six years in the making, its composer, Andrew Hackwill, is well-known for new musicals staged at Tuggeranong Arts Centre, not least “The Department of Heaven”, “Sanger Hill”, “The Court of Swing Caractacus” and “It Was That Way When I Got Here”.

The script is by Michael Heming with additional lyrics by Hackwill.

With direction by Richard Block, musical direction by Max Gambale and choreography by Kathryn Jones, it’s a kind of quirky “Toy Story”.

The busy Toy Emporium is where social misfit Jeremy, who works in packaging, has a plan for a new robot invention, the Rokitelly.

Cindy, the girl Jeremy secretly loves, suggests he take the Rokitelly to the bosses and the plot thickens.
