Riverina and Tasmania drive imagination

“Once Twice Three Blues Lady”
IN “Infusion,” artist Angela Coombs Matthews has responded to Cataract Gorge and the Riverina with what she calls an  “ infusion” of the figure.

Matthews says the surrounding landscape of the Riverina and the rugged wilderness of Tasmania’s Cataract Gorge have been the driving forces behind her  creative process, adding, “the figurative elements in the gorge and my developing interest and involvement in dance resulted in a gradual infusion of the figure into my landscapes.”

“Infusion,” at Strathnairn Homestead Gallery, 90 Stockdill Drive, Holt, 10am-4.30pm Friday to Sunday, until Sunday, August 26.
