Royal couple visit War Memorial

THE Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will visit the Australian War Memorial on Saturday, the eve of Remembrance Day and the last stop of their Australian tour.

Locals will be able to get a glimpse of the Royal couple outside the Memorial’s main entrance, where Australian flags will be passed out to children.

After arriving at the Memorial, the Royal couple will make their way through the Commemorative Area to the Hall of Memory, where they will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier.

Following the wreathlaying, the Royal couple will walk along the Roll of Honour in the Cloisters before signing the Memorial’s Official Visitors’ Book.

This will be the fourth time His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales has visited the Memorial and the first official visit for The Duchess of Cornwall.

Visitors are recommended to arrive by 3.30pm.

The Memorial’s galleries will be open all day.
