THE BEARDS, the entirely beard-based band who never expected to play more than one show, are coming to Canberra.
The band, known for tracks including “If Your Dad Doesn’t Have a Beard, You’ve got Two Mums”, formed as a joke to perform a single show in Adelaide. But since then they’ve gone on to become an underground hit in the Australian music scene.
After the success of their second album, “Beards Beards Beards” in 2009, The Beards will hit the road again to promote their new album “Having a Beard is the New Not Having a Beard”.
“It will be our third concept album about the same concept – the only concept of any importance to any of us – beards,” frontman Johann Beardraven said.
“It’s going to be even more about beards than our last record”, says bassist Nathaniel Beard.
