Calls for help after thunderstorm hits

ACT Emergency Services received at least 62 requests for assistance after a huge storm hit south Canberra last night.

The majority of the requests were for leaking roofs after heavy rain and hail, with damage localised to Conder, Theodore and Banks.

The ACTSES has eight teams stood up with assistance being provided by crews from ACT Fire & Rescue and TAMS.
