Tuggeranong shops flood, vandalism suspected

A suspected act of vandalism caused extensive damage to a retail building in Tuggeranong’s town centre early last night, flooding at least one business.

At about 7pm last night, police found extensive flooding at Four Seasons House on Anketell Street in Greenway, opposite the Tuggeranong Hyperdome.

According to police, the water had come from a hose being left on.

The water damaged the interior of the building and its electrical system, and the owners of a ground-floor business told police the water had poured in and harmed their operations.

Forensics officers have examined the scene, and police are calling for witnesses who saw anything suspicious at Four Seasons House in Greenway yesterday to come forward.

Anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or by going to www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
