BRW have announced their list of the 50 most innovative companies in Australia.
Sadly despite much local trumpet blowing at numerous events no locally based companies are to be found on the list.
Here’s the state breakdown provided by BRW:
STATE BREAKDOWN:
STATE | IN TOP 50 |
ACT | 0 |
NSW | 27 |
QLD | 3 |
SA | 1 |
TAS | 0 |
VIC | 16 |
WA | 3 |
It is surely some consolation that Tasmania is also unrepresented, while the Northern Territory is not even mentioned. But not much.
The 2014 independent judging panel consisted of:
- Joanne Gray Editor, BOSS
- James O’Loughlin, Australian television and radio presenter
- Dr Amantha Imber, Founder, Inventium
- Dr Catriona Wallace, Managing Director, Fifth Quadrant
- Owen Kerr, CEO and co-Founder, Pepperstone
