‘Due to popular demand’ – more ‘Sweet Charity’ matinees.

THE “Due to popular demand” signs have gone up as, flushed with the success of  “Sweet Charity” at the Sydney Theatre Awards on Monday night, the Canberra Theatre has just announced three additional matinee shows of the popular musical coming to town in February.

This touring revival of “Sweet Charity” opened at the Sydney Opera House last Friday to rave reviews and a full house.

At the awards, the show won Best Production of a Musical, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical (Verity Hunt-Ballard) and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical (Debora Krizak).

Tickets are on sale now from canberratheatrecentre.com.au and 6275 2700 for shows Sunday, February 15 at 5pm, Thursday, February 19 at 2pm and Sunday, February 22 at 2pm.
