A 55-year-old NSW man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (Monday, 29 August) on a drug related offence after a large quantity of cannabis was located at the Mitchell Resource Management Centre.

About 12.30pm on Saturday 27 August, police attended the Mitchell Resources Management Centre in response to a Crime Stoppers report that drugs had been found.

Upon arrival, police located approximately 100kg of plant matter, believed to be cannabis, at various sites within the centre, resulting in the centre being closed to the public.

The 55-year-old male was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with possession of a prohibited substance.

Crime Stoppers is currently running a ‘Dob in a Dealer’ campaign. If you have information on the manufacturing or dealing of illicit drugs contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via act.crimestoppers.com.au

Police remind people not to report crime to Facebook or Twitter pages.
