Six arrested in early morning melee in Civic

SIX people were arrested and charged, and exclusion directions to leave the City night club precinct were issued after a man was knocked unconscious in Civic’s East Row at about 5.15am on Sunday (December 17).

After the man was felled by being struck in the back of the head, several fights broke out in the vicinity requiring police intervention.

Following the incident, six people were charged with relevant offences. However, police believe several others left the scene before speaking with police.

Police are calling for anyone involved in the incident or anyone who witnessed it and may have mobile phone vision to call 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
