THOUSANDS of snowgoers hit the Thredbo slopes today for their first slides of the season and, under blue and sunny skies, enjoyed one of the best starts in years.
Thredbo’s Cruiser area, Friday Flat and High Noon were open for skiing and boarding.
The village played host to a big line-up of entertainment, ice carving, photo exhibitions and festivities. While the region’s biggest fireworks display is set to light up Kosciuszko tonight.
