Art of the the dark side

THE very lively Belconnen Artists Network (BeAN) is currently presenting its annual exhibition at the Gold Creek Church Gallery.

The exhibition includes photos of the lunar eclipse in Canberra, paintings and mixed-media productions of a wide variety of interpretations of darkness in our daily lives and environment. The exhibition reflects the emotional, physical, social and colour effects darkness has on people.

BeAN  is a community collective of artists with wide ranging levels of skills, ambition and experience. Members of BeAN have regularly exhibited  around Canberra and surroundings for the past 12 years.

In an unusual move,  psychic Rowan Element will open the exhibition on Saturday,  November 19 at 2.30pm while Spellbound belly dancers will entertain visitors.

BeAN’s exhibition, at the Gold Creek Church Gallery, 10am to 4pm daily until Sunday, November 27.
