Attempted robbery at Maccas

TWO men carrying large knives attempted to rob the Erindale McDonalds this morning but left empy-handed.

At about 4.20am, a man broke into the back of the store, to open the front door for a second man. Armed with knives, they demanded cash from the registers but staff refused.

They fled the store and were seen leaving in a Mazda Astina driven by a third offender.

Both offenders spoke with Australian accents, were wearing hoodies and covered faces. No one was injured in the incident.

Witnesses are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or visit www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
