CANBERRA sprinter Evan O’Hanlon has starred in an Aussie gold haul at the London Paralympic Games.
On day three of the games, O’Hanlon defended his T38 100 metre title in a world record time of 10.79 seconds.
The win pushed Australia’s medal tally to 11 gold, five silver and 13 bronze medals, with Australia now sitting second on the London Paralympic medal table.
O’Hanlon, who suffers from mild cerebral palsy, became the first athlete with cerebral palsy to break 11 seconds in the 100m at the last Paralympic Games in Beijing.
He lives and trains at the AIS and is currently studying landscape architecture.
