Evatt death prompts call for witnesses

POLICE are seeking witnesses to an accident in Evatt on the weekend where a man fell from his motorised bicycle and died.

Police were called to the scene at Fitzhardinge Crescent on Saturday evening at around 6.40pm, where ambulance officers were treating a 39 year old man with serious head injuries.

The man was taken to hospital but later died. He was reportedly without a helmet when the accident occurred.

Police ask any witnesses who may have seen the man riding his bike on Fitzhardinge Crescent or who have any information which could assist the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au
