Witnesses sought to Chisholm Tavern assault

POLICE are calling for witnesses to an alleged assault outside the Chisholm Tavern last Saturday morning, where a man was found unconscious. 

Around 12.55am on Saturday, October 27, police were called to Benham Street in Chisholm after a man was found unconscious.

It is believed the man was involved in an altercation out the front of the Chisholm Tavern earlier that night between the hours of 12am and 1am.

The man is still being treated for serious head injuries at The Canberra Hospital.

Anyone who saw the man prior to the assault, or who witnessed the assault should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the website www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
