“I DRAW mostly when suffering from episodes of severe depression, says Aboriginal Artist Rhonda Kennedy.
“I don’t set out to create artwork and never think of a finished product…I use drawing as a way to express my internal thoughts and feelings.”
“Mysteries Within,” an exhibition of striking drawings by Kennedy, is now showing as part of the series ‘Piece of Mind’ at gallery@bcs. “I have never felt that I have had to explain any certain piece of work,” the artist adds, A picture is a picture and that is what it is.”
“Mysteries Within”, part of the series ‘Piece of Mind,’ at gallery@bcs, Belconnen Community Centre, Swanson Court, Belconnen until November 29, 9am-4:30pm Monday-Friday, Official Opening November 20 at 6pm, all welcome.
