Brown water for Mitchell, Franklin and Harrison

glass of water

ACTEW Water will be undertaking necessary work in Kenny on Thursday 18th December 2014, which may result in temporary discolouration of water in areas within Mitchell, Franklin and Harrison.

The work being undertaken is to provide for new connections for accommodation in the area.

Whilst it is difficult to predict to what degree the water will be affected, ACTEW Water advises that any discolouration will clear with normal use. If residents experience ongoing discolouration beyond Thursday 18th December 2014, they should contact the ACTEW Water Faults team on 6248 3111.

Residents are advised not to use washing machines and dishwashers during this period of possible water discolouration, as it may stain clothing or clog filters. ACTEW Water does not recommend drinking water that appears smells or tastes objectionable.
