CHIEF Minister Gallagher has announced new health statistics which she says are rather good when compared to the other hospitals she’d like them to be.
“The National Performance Health Authority (NPHA) report entitled Time patients spent in emergency departments in 2012 and 2013 compares the performance of similar sized hospitals across Australia and shows Canberra’s public hospitals are sitting just below the national average for ED waiting times when compared to metropolitan peer group hospitals,” Katy said.
“This report provides an important snapshot into how the ACT’s public hospital emergency departments are performing when they are compared to other similar sized metropolitan hospitals like Westmead, Gosford, Wollongong and John Hunter Hospital.”
