THE New York Times brings word of one time Canberra Cannons ball boy Patty Mills claiming one of the most sought after prizes in sport, an NBA championship with the San Antonio spurs.
Mills studied at Marist here in Canberra as well as receiving a scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport.
The 2006 Basketball Australia Player of the Year has been with the Spurs since 2012 and scored 17 points in the final game win.
