GEORGE Brandis has announced the appointment of Ben Maguire to the Council of the National Museum of Australia.
“Mr Maguire is currently the Director of Maguire Management and previously CEO of the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre,” George said.
“He was a member of the Slim Dusty Museum Advisory Board and Executive Manager of AGL Energy Limited. He was recently appointed Deputy Co-Chair of the Regional Development Australia, Southern Inland Committee.
“His knowledge and experience in business, management and governance and his regional perspective and experience leading a regional museum and heritage organisation will be of great value to the work of the National Museum of Australia.
Mr Maguire has been appointed for a three year term.
