A KAMBAH man stole two dogs from an acquaintance, harmed one and then demanded cash from their owner on the weekend.
At about 11pm, on Saturday (April 14) the owner of the dogs confronted the man, but the Kambah man pointed a firearm at him and another person, making demands for money in exchange for the dogs.
The animals were released and returned to the owner.
The man was charged with cruelty to animals and three counts of use offensive weapon – dangerous to a person – and will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (April 16).
