SOUTH westerly winds are predicted this afternoon (February 1) that could cause the Orroral Valley Fire to move closer to Tharwa.
As a result, residents in Canberra’s south are likely to see aircraft working in areas south of Tuggeranong.
The ACT Emergency Services Agency says that large air tankers will be dropping retardant around Mt Tennant in preparation for possible fire.
