Armed men force themselves into Chisholm home

TWO armed men forced their way into a Chisholm home before they injured a resident and stole items from the property last night (July 7).

The men forced themselves into the home on Goldstein Crescent at about 10pm. Police say there were a number of people inside and one person was injured by the men before the offenders fled with stolen goods.

Paramedics treated the injured person at the scene before transporting them to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Not long after, a member of the public interrupted two men, who were attempting to break into a vehicle in Richardson. The men in the vehicle are believed to be the men from the Chisholm incident.

The two men were taken into custody and are assisting police with their enquiries.

Police ask that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information relating to the home invasion, including CCTV or dash cam footage from around the area, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website using reference number 6570502.
