THE Pilates Centre Canberra is a sanctuary where clients can feel cared for – but they’ll work hard too, says owner Felicia Darbyshire-Pirie.

“Our delivery is professional but it’s also a very comfortable environment, the kind of place our clients want to be,” says Felicia.

“We understand that in recent times people feel exposed and unsure about being close to other people, so we have ensured that all our equipment is correctly spaced out, with hand washing facilities and hand sanitiser available, without it feeling like a clinical environment.

“Our clients will work hard while they’re here, but we want them to leave knowing that we care.”

Having taught Pilates for more than 13 years, Felicia says she discovered a love for it while studying massage and says that it can support other exercises, make people feel good and get the body working, whether they are fit already or deconditioned from lack of exercise.

The Pilates Centre Canberra is a host site for BASI, the world-leading Pilates instructor training school, which Felicia says she’s very proud to be a part of.

“In my opinion it’s the best Pilates training in the world, it’s an incredible platform for anyone looking to enhance their knowledge in Pilates, or become a fully qualified Pilates instructor,” she says.
