Update: William was found safe overnight

UPDATE: Friday, February 7

SIXTEEN-year-old William Hawkins was located safe overnight after police reported his disappearance yesterday (February 6). 

POLICE are concerned of the safety of 16-year-old William Hawkins after he went missing almost two weeks.

William, who is described as being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander appearance with an olive complexion, 170cm (5’7”) tall, with dark hair, brown eyes and of slim build, was last seen in Belconnen on Wednesday, January 22.

Police would like to reassure William that he is not in any trouble, and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating him.

Anyone who may have any information that could assist police in locating William is urged to contact ACT Policing Operations on 131 444 using reference number 6494408.
