Cops chase teenage drug driver from Kaleen to Giralang

A POLICE chase ended in Giralang last night (September 1) after a teenage drug driver refused to stop for police. 

Police attempted to stop the teenager, who was driving a white Holden Commodore in Kaleen at about 11.05pm.

The driver failed to stop for police and continued on Baldwin Drive where road spikes were deployed.

The car continued north along Gungahlin Drive attempting to evade police before coming to a stop at the intersection of Narden Street and Digby Circuit in Crace.

The driver fled on foot before being arrested in Giralang.

The teenager was charged with numerous offences including aggravated dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving while disqualified, driving under the influence of drugs and driving with number plates not properly issued.
