WHILE the Orroral Valley fire continues to burn out of control, a specialised teams of firefighters are pushing to re-open access to Tharwa Village.
ACT ESA says the teams are assessing all roads and road closures to try and allow public access back into Tharwa Village as soon as possible.
However, the fire continues to grow and is now at about 80,248ha in size, with fire activity erratic on some parts of the fireground.
ACT ESA says firefighters are monitoring critical infrastructure including Mt Tennant Tower, cultural assets in Orroral Valley and the solar farm on the ACT side of the Monaro Highway.
Tactical property protection is currently taking place around the historic Westermans Hut in southern Namadgi.
There are still no properties under threat at this time.
The bushfire warning remains at advice.
