ACT Labor says they’ll build a new, zero emissions primary school in Strathnairn, if re-elected next month.
The school is expected to cost about $45 million and will cater for around 600 students. The new school will also feature an onsite early learning school.
If re-elected, ACT Labor says they will begin its construction in the first half of their term.
“Our plan to build new schools and renew the schools we love will create and protect around 1200 local jobs,” says ACT Labor leader Andrew Barr.
Labor’s education spokesperson Yvette Berry says the addition of an onsite early learning centre will support ACT Labor’s commitment to provide one day a week of free early learning for every three year old child within the next term of government.
