Man stabs ‘neighbour’ in Belconnen

A MAN allegedly stabbed his neighbour during an argument in a communal carpark yesterday morning (June 21). 

The man, a 43-year-old, produced a 15cm knife and stabbed a woman, who is believed to be his neighbour, in the hand at about 9.35am in the carpark of a town house complex on Chandler Street.

A witness chased the man away and the woman was taken to hospital.

The man is due to face the ACT Magistrates Court, charged with intentionally wounding, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and possessing an offensive weapon.
