THE ACT has recorded 13 new covid cases in the past 24 hours and “disappointedly” at least 10 were infectious in the community, said ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr.
Only two of the new cases were in quarantine during their entire infection period.
Seven are linked to known cases and exposure locations and six remain under investigation.
There are nine people with covid in ACT hospitals, three of which are in intensive care, with one of them requiring ventilation.
At today’s (September 13) covid press conference, Mr Barr said about 2402 tests were conducted.
He said it reflects a trend on weekends where test numbers drop below 3000.
“We’d like to see the number over 3000 today,” he said, concerned about the number of people identified as infectious in the community.
“Testing helps us to trace, isolate and quarantine. So if you have any symptoms, please come forward for testing.”
