SINCE 5pm yesterday (December 18), the ACT State Emergency Services has received more than 203 requests for assistance following the hail and thunderstorm last night.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting storms to impact the ACT again this afternoon, similar to those experienced yesterday.
SES, Fire & Rescue and Rural Fire Service crews have been clearing fallen trees and making emergency repairs across the city.
Just over half of the requests for assistance have been completed and the Emergency Services say they will continue to respond to outstanding requests throughout today.
Take the time now to prepare your home ahead of these forecast conditions:
For emergency help in floods and storms, ring the ACTSES on 132500. If the incident is life threatening, call Emergency Triple Zero (000).
