Childcare centre added to exposure site list

A CHILDCARE centre in Nicholls and a day spa in Harrison are the latest businesses to be added onto the exposure site list for close contacts.

In the latest update, close contact sites include Bright Bees Childcare, Nicholls, from 8am-5pm, August 17-20, as well as Urban Fusion Massage, Harrison, 6.15pm-8.30pm, August 11.

The CISAC Club Lime gym has been updated on the close contact site list, too, with additional times, including 7pm-9pm, August 9, 6.30pm-8.15pm, August 10, and 4.45pm-7.15pm, August 11.

Anyone that has visited these locations during these times are required to complete the ACT Contact Declaration Form, immediately quarantine, get tested for COVID-19 as advised by ACT Health, remain in quarantine even if they get a negative test result.

The list of casual contact sites has also grown to include a number of grocery stores and food outlets:

  • Coles Canberra Centre, Civic, 2.30pm, 3.30pm, August 17, and 7.50pm-8.45pm, August 19.
  • Guzman y Gomez Canberra Centre, Civic, 6.30pm-8.30pm, August 16, and 2.45pm-10pm, August 18 and 19.
  • Oliver Brown Canberra Centre, Civic, 4.15pm-5.10pm, August 18.
  • Woolworths Gungahlin, 3.30pm-5.05pm, August 12.
  • Australia Post Woden, 11am-12pm, August 11.
  • Westpac Woden, 11am-12pm, August 11.

People who have been to casual contact exposure locations during the times listed are expected to, complete the ACT Contact Declaration Form, immediately quarantine and get tested for COVID-19 as advised by ACT Health.

If a person was at the casual contact location less than four days ago, ACT Health says they will need two tests – one test as soon as they find out they are a casual contact and another test on day five after they were at the casual contact location.

People at the casual contact location four or more days ago only need to get one test.
