Man dies after collision between cyclists

A SEVENTY-year-old cyclist has died following a collision with another cyclist in Greenway on Tuesday (August 17). It is the eighth fatality on ACT roads this year. 

At about 11.20am police were called to a bike path surrounding Lake Tuggeranong, Greenway, where a 45-year-old man had fallen from his bicycle and the 70-year-old, who was behind him, collided with him.

The 70-year-old collapsed and he was taken to hospital where he died.

A report is being prepared for the coroner and investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident and have not already provided their information.
