Active covid case numbers nudge upwards

THE number of active cases of COVID-19 in Canberra has risen against yesterday’s number, according to ACT Health figures today (June 18).

There are 5074 active cases in the ACT, an increase on yesterday’s 4874.

New daily cases reported today total 865 (486 PCR and 379 RAT), down on yesterday’s 962.

There have been 145,457 infections and 74 deaths since the pandemic started on March 12, 2020.

Hospital admissions today stand at 86, down one on yesterday’s number. Two people are in intensive care, none requiring ventilation.
