A SEVERE weather warning for damaging winds in the ACT, Goulburn and the Snowy Mountains, has been issued.
A deep low pressure system over the southwest Tasman Sea will see a vigorous westerly flow over NSW today (May 31) and into tomorrow (June 1), according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).
“Strong winds averaging 60 to 70km/h with damaging wind gusts up to 100km/h are possible on and east of the ranges in southern parts of NSW from early on Wednesday morning,” a spokesperson said.
A maximum of 9 degrees is forecast for Canberra today, the temperature had reached 7.9 degrees at midday, however it felt like -0.6 degrees.
