Covid hospitalisation record broken again

THE number of people hospitalised with COVID-19 in Canberra continues to climb by the day, with the latest figures revealing yet another broken record.

ACT Health has today (June 28) recorded 121 people in Canberra hospitals with the virus, the highest since the beginning of the pandemic. It is up from the 119 in yesterday’s report.

Despite the high number of hospitalisations, there are currently no people in intensive care or requiring ventilation.

The ACT recorded 1159 new cases of the virus in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, bringing the territory’s total active case load to 6230.
