Daily covid numbers soften in southern NSW

COVID numbers in southern NSW have stepped back from yesterday’s record high, with the Southern NSW Local Health District reporting that 124 new cases have been confirmed today (January 4). There are two people reported to be in hospital with covid. 

Numbers in the Queanbeyan Palerang LGA have more than halved to 46 covid cases today.

Elsewhere in the district:

  •  There are eight cases in Eurobodalla LGA
  •  Twenty seven in the Goulburn Mulwaree LGA
  •  Nine in the Snowy Monaro LGA
  •  Seven in Upper Lachlan LGA
  •  Eleven in the Bega Valley LGA
  •  Sixteen in the Yass Valley LGA
