A PROTESTOR accused of breaking a woman’s wrist during the Convoy to Canberra has been extradited for a second to face court in the ACT.

The 36-year-old man was arrested at his Kings Langley home in Sydney on Wednesday (October 12) after an ACT magistrate issued a second warrant for his arrest for not appearing in court when he was required to on October 7.

He is accused of assaulting a woman, in her 60s, at EPIC in February.

The woman was working at a venue inside EPIC during the anti-vaccination protests at the time, and later needed surgery to both her wrists.

Police say the man failed to appear in court in June and July, and was extradited to Sydney to face charges of trespassing, failing to comply with an order under the Crimes Act and recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm.

On Wednesday the man was again arrested by police and appeared in the Blacktown Local Court where ACT Policing detectives successfully applied for his extradition.

He was returned to the ACT yesterday (October 13) and will face court today.
