Re: Drug legislation. Dear Sir/Madam, Ros Thomas (letters 25th Nov) has the wrong end of the stick.Taking prohibited drugs is still illegal, and if the police find people under the influence of these drugs, they will confiscate the drugs and refer the offender to the courts. The change is that if the court decides, it may fine the person or refer them to drug rehabilitation. Failure to attend rehabilitation is itself an offence. Regards, Stewart Bath.
