Five-hectare grass fire burning to the south

Location of the grass fire at Booth, in the south of the ACT.

ACT Emergency Services is reporting a five-hectare grass fire burning near Top Nass Road, Booth, in southern ACT.

While smoke and flames may be visible in the area, the ESA says the fire is being controlled by crews from ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Rural Fire Service.

It currently poses no risk to properties.

This news item re the fire being “controlled” is code for “do nothing” . Then when it gains momentum we call in other “assets” being the water bombing. They are incapable of putting a fire out!
