Canberra to Bali – three times a week

Batik Air… direct flights from Canberra to Denpasar on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from June.
By aviation writer Scott Mayman
Canberra’s latest international airline entrant has locked in its schedule, linking the national capital with direct flights to Bali.

Last week, Batik Air announced its intentions to fly directly between Canberra and Denpasar and on Monday, it locked it all in.

Flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays beginning mid Jun and already there’s talk of increasing the schedule to four days a week.

Canberra is the sixth destination in Australia for the airline, which is owned by Indonesia’s Lion Air group.

But for the moment, Fiji Air is the only other international carrier with schedules that include Canberra. Fiji Air also offers connections with North America.
