A 31-year-old Fraser man, who was subject to an Intensive Corrections Order, has been charged with 16 offences in relation to a string of incidents, including motor vehicle thefts, failing to stop, theft and pay wave offences.
Police say a search of his home late on Thursday night revealed several items believed to be stolen, including tools, electronic devices, a laptop computer and numerous identification documents belonging to other people.
The man has been charged with three counts of obtaining property by deception, three counts of unlawful possession of stolen property, two counts of unauthorised entry of a motor vehicle, and single counts of breaching an intensive corrections order, theft, driving while disqualified, driving a motor vehicle without consent, number plate/rego not issued properly, attempted theft, destroying/damaging property and attempting to escape from lawful custody.
Police say they will continue to investigate the alleged theft and subsequent arson of a silver Toyota Yaris, which was allegedly stolen on January 19 and was later found burnt out in Torrens about 2.25am on February 20.
