Queanbeyan stabbing: woman refused bail

A 34-year-old woman has been refused bail following an alleged stabbing of a man in Queanbeyan.

Emergency services were called to a home in Mowatt Street on Monday evening.

Police found a 58-year-old man with stab injuries to his arm. They were told the injuries were allegedly inflicted by a woman who had left the address.

The man was taken to Queanbeyan Hospital for treatment.

The woman was arrested in Crawford Street, Queanbeyan, on Wednesday and charged with with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.

She appeared before the Queanbeyan Local Court on Thursday and was refused bail to reappear at the same court on February 3.
