Woman charged with fraud of $736k from Queanbeyan business

A woman has been charged with offences relating to an alleged fraud at a Queanbeyan-based business involving more than $700,000.

The 42-year-old woman was arrested when she attended Queanbeyan Police Station on Wednesday morning.

She’s been charged with five counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and three counts of stealing property as clerk/servant of more than $15,000

She was granted conditional bail to appear in Queanbeyan Local Court on October 21.

Police will allege in court the woman fraudulently stole more than $736,000 from her employer.
