Woman charged with driving at former partner, twice

A 30-year-old woman has been charged with allegedly trying to run over her former partner during an incident in Dickson on Monday.

The woman, who was accompanied by her two children, met with her former partner near the Dickson pool. After talking, the woman is alleged to have got into her car and driven at the man, narrowly missing him, then reversed the vehicle and drove at him a second time, striking him in the hand and ribs.

The woman and her children left the scene and police were called.

The woman was later arrested at her home in O’Connor.

She has been charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated property damage and driving offences.
