Driver crashes through shop front

A DRIVER luckily escaped without injury after he crashed his ute into Capital Trophies & Sportswear on Lysaght Street in Mitchell late this afternoon (July 10). 

The owner of the store, Brett Boardman was working when the white ute crashed through the front doors.

Mr Boardman says he was glad that the driver wasn’t badly hurt.

The store will be boarded up and closed for a couple of days until the mess is cleaned.
