Charging vehicle catches fire in Belconnen

A BATTERY operated recreational vehicle caught fire after it was left on charge in a Belconnen structure overnight (October 2).

Firefighters entered the smoke-filled structure at about 11.30pm on Weedon Close before extinguishing the vehicle.

ACT Fire and Rescue conducted ventilation and atmospheric monitoring before it was safe to hand back to its owners.
