IN a near doubling in a day, covid cases have burst to a record 926 new daily cases, ACT Health reports today (January 4).
The new cases are those recorded in the ACT in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday. There are now 2789 active covid cases in the territory and a total of 6120 cases since the outbreak began in August.
At 8pm last night, there were 13 patients in hospital with covid, one of whom is in intensive care and on a ventilator.
There were 3485 negative covid tests recorded in the 24 hours to 9am today.
